The 5 Tibetan Rituals are also known as the 5 Tibetan Rites and were discussed in the book The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth by Peter Kelding published in 1985. This book discusses the exercises used by Tibetan monks that enables them to have longevity and an ageless look.

These exercises are said to be responsible for several benefits including looking younger, sleeping more soundly at night, waking up in the morning and feeling ready to go, and relief from chronic pain. Some of the other things that are possible is an improved memory, arthritis relief, better vision, reduction of wrinkles, more strength and endurance, and better emotional and mental health.

The Tibetan religion has an interest in seven major chakras that are supposed to keep both the mind and body in good order. They have dominion over the endocrine system which directs activity of all stimulation of glands that keep the body in good health. A working endocrine system ensures that all organs are working in tip top order and the body stays in great condition.

The 7 marjor chakras include the root chakra at the bottom of the spine, the sacral chakra located at the navel, the solar plexus chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, the third eye chakra at the center of the forehead, and the crown chakra located at the top of the head. All these chakras spin and the rate at which they spin is relavent to health and vitality. They must spin fast and all together so that harmony is created within the body. If the chakra related to the heart isn’t spinning as fast as the others you are likely to have heart problems. If the sacral chakra is too fast you may have stomach probjems and if the root chakra isn’t functioning well you could have spine related issues. All the chakras must spin the same to have harmony in the body.

The five exercises or rituals consist of spinning movements, being on the knees, lying on the ground, lifting the legs or arms or lifting the whole body up on the arms and legs. Some are relatively simple from spinning in place with arms out to lifting the body with arms and legs from a lying position. Some may be impossible for some people in less than good health to do. It is a good idea to check with a doctor before starting them and only doing what you can until you can do more. These are considered Yoga exercises so find a yoga instructor that can help you with them at first. The exercises should be started at only three at a time and never should they be done more than 21 at a time each exercise. They take ten to 20 minutes to complete the entire regimen.

Also be aware that some detoxification may happen when these exercises are done. The chakras are being cleansed and there may be some unpleasant after effects. Your intestines may be emptied, you may sweat a bit with some odor, and you may experience some flu like symptoms. These are extreme cases and probably won’t affect a healthy person. All in all the Five Tibetan Rituals will keep you healthy and young looking for a long time.
