INDIANAPOLIS — Dustin Keller has spoken with quarterback mark Sanchez since the season ended, to tell him “you’re my guy” and that he has his back. The Jets tight end also spoke with receiver Santonio Holmes, soon after the disastrous season finale at Miami.

“(Holmes) felt really bad with the way things went down, and he loves being a Jet,” Keller said today in the Super Bowl XLVI host city, where he was promoting MetLife Stadium and the launch of the insurance company’s new ad campaign during the Super Bowl. “He wants to continue to be a Jet, and we want to have him.”

Keller also said Sanchez and Holmes have spoken to each other in the aftermath of the 8-8 season without a playoffs bid. Players including LaDainian Tomlinson have painted a stark picture of the locker-room chemistry breakdowns, which peaked when Holmes fought with a teammate in the huddle at Miami. Keller held him back, and Holmes was benched for the final minutes of the game.

“They’re going to work out their differences,” Keller said. “Just a tough way that the season went out, and the biggest problem they really have is just having to answer questions. That’s why I say things are just so blown out of proportion. They’re cool with each other, they know they need to fix things, and they will. They’re going to have more time working with Santonio in the offseason, but they’re going to have to continue to answer the questions for a little while.”

Keller was a public ally for Sanchez despite criticisms of the quarterback this season. he has one year remaining on his rookie deal, and he said he Jets and his agent have started conversations about an extension — though no formal offer has yet been made.

Keller received a $2 million escalator in his 2012 salary, bumping it up to $3.05 million, based on performance from 2009-11.

“I think there’s been some (talks). We’ll see,” Keller said. “I have a year left, so if they do a new deal that’s great; if they don’t, we just have to keep on working.”

For now, Keller’s focus is on contributing to a more successful 2012 season. he said the team needs to call players’-only meetings and hold its third annual Jets West camp in Sanchez’s native California to build camaraderie and a connection between Sanchez and his receivers.

“He should be able to close his eyes and throw the ball and have it pretty close to where the guy is supposed to be,” Keller said. “That’s the type of trust you should have with your quarterback. I spent a lot of time with mark in the offseason, and I feel like we had that little trust, that bond. he can trust me like that. I think there are a lot of other guys that need to spend that same time. If we can do that, we’re going to be a tough team to stop.”

Keller believes Sanchez and Holmes can coexist on the Jets team. he said both have realized that they’re competitive guys that want to win and make big plays, which led to their clashes.

“But when things aren’t going that great, you have to be able to hide some things, you can’t just show how frustrated you are,” Keller said. “If you’re not winning, the offense isn’t playing well, and you know you can make a difference if you have the ball in your hands — OK, it is probably true. But go say something to your coach, say something to mark, man to man. you can’t let something leak out to the media.”

Keller added: “(Holmes) knows you can’t do these things, especially on camera. But all these are things that are fixable, I don’t think we have to make a lot of personnel changes. I think with the guys that we have, we can win. we just have to have 53 guys that buy into Rex’s philosophy.”

Keller also took the opportunity to express his trust in Sanchez as the team’s quarterback.

“I am so confident in mark,” Keller said. “He is, I think, one of the more consistent parts of our offense.”

Keller is not staying in town for the Super Bowl. The match-up between the Giants and Patriots, each a fierce Jets rival, is the “worst-case scenario,” Keller said.

Former Jets FB Tony Richardson, in town for meetings with the players’ union, said he plans to catch up with coach Rex Ryan over dinner. He’s not talking about returning to the game and also said he isn’t interested at this time about joining the Jets organization.

MetLife’s new ad campaign will debut during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, featuring a cast of favorite cartoon characters. The message is that insurance can be available or easily accessible to anyone who wants it.

I confess. The thrill of the hunt is something I never understood. The hunt between a man and his dog verses bird is a mystery to me also. On an early January morning with temperatures as balmy as a spring day I met with Steve to hear the story of Maggie. their story helped me better understand the sport of hunting and the special bond formed between a man and his dog as hunting partners.

Maggie & Steve’s story is one of determination, strength, integrity and love. Steve is a man in the prime of his life with silver hair that reflects his accomplishments as father, husband and provider. Maggie is a 1 year old yellow lab with strawberry highlights and luminous brown eyes urging you to pet her.

Steve grew up without dogs, but after accompanying a friend and his dog on a hunting expedition, he was hooked. He launched a mission to find a lab that could be a family dog as well as a hunter. Day after day Steve meticulously surfed the web. He talked with many breeders via phone and e-mail explaining what he wanted in a lab. Some breeders felt a lab could not be both a hunter and a dog which could adapt to family life. Little did these breeders know Steve is a very determined man. Steve’s search ended after hours of homework and he found a breeder to meet his needs.

Maggie was born in July 2005. as soon as she was weaned, she was released to her new home with Steve and his family. Maggie was a typical puppy learning everything a little pup needs to learn. At seven months old, with great anticipation, Steve took Maggie out for her first hunt. Steve said, I was so excited about this day and the years ahead of Maggie and me hunting in the north woods.

The following day Maggie could not get up to walk, and this continued for two days. On the third day she was walking, but with unusual stiffness in her rear legs. The vet felt Maggie might have hip dysplasia, yet those tests came back negative. Maggie’s hips were in excellent shape. The vet was stumped and Steve was referred to a specialist in Appleton. Within an hour of arriving there, a devastating diagnosis was made. Maggie had severe Ostecohondritis (OCD). This is a disease that primarily affects the shoulders in a dog, not the rear legs as in Maggie’s case. OCD is characterized by cracks and flaps in the joints cartilage, which cause inflammation, joint instability, pain, lameness, and degenerative joint disease.

The vet recommended surgery. The goal of treatment with OCD is to prevent further damage, alleviate the pain, and increase mobility. The prognosis was guarded and there was no guarantee it would work. If they decided to do the surgery, Steve and Maggie would be put to the test with a 12-week, 3 times a day rehabilitation program. Dr. Bohn of the Kettle Moraine Veterinary Clinic had performed shoulder OCD surgery but was new to rear leg OCD surgery. in spite of these concerns, Steve was willing and Dr. Bohn agreed to do the operation. Steve said, It was the answer to my prayers.

After the surgery, rehab began and it was like teaching Maggie to walk all over again. Steve is honest in his feelings and shared it was stressful and demanding. Steve’s free time was filled up with Maggie and he said he could not have managed without the help of his lovely wife, Lisa. every morning he got up early before work and ran Maggie through her rehab exercises. The routine played out again as Steve went home during his lunch hour and the day ended with another round of rehab. The summer flew by as Steve worked diligently with Maggie. At the end of 12 weeks Steve started to lose hope. Maggie was not improving.

But, Steve did not give up on Maggie. At the end of September, he took her out to a field and worked with her in hunting format. He began with 30 minute sessions and progressed in time each week as Maggie improved. That strategy proved to be the missing link; Maggie’s drive to hunt gave her a purpose. After that, her rehabilitation progress was amazing.

The big test came at the end of October 2006, when Steve’s family and friends took a three-day hunting trip to Iowa. Steve was filled with mixed emotions of anticipation and hope. Maggie’s determination came shining through and the hunt was a success, not only in terms of catching game, but Maggie completed the hunt with hardly any stiffness. She is a pioneer in her recovery and gives hope to other dogs that may have to endure the diagnosis of OCD.

December 29th, 2006 Steve and Maggie were in the north woods once again. Fresh snow blanketed the earth as they tracked grouse. Three hours passed and Maggie showed no signs of discomfort. her goal was focused on the task at hand and she savored the hunt. Steve and Maggie are a shining example of the love a man has for his dog and the love a dog has for a best friend who will not give up on her.

Make sure you inculcate a habit of routine in your baby: believe it or not, children love routines. so, if you worry about your baby not going to bed on time everyday, develop a bedtime routine for her. Bathe her and change clothes after dinner and tuck her into bed at approximately the same time daily. Reading to the baby will usually make her calm and soothe her enough to lull her into sleep. these things will make her disciplined and leave you with less things to deal with.

2. Don’t miss out on marital togetherness: even if your child and jobs take up a good part of your time and energy, find some time for each other. in fact, if possible, leave your child with a grandparent for few hours and go out on a date with your spouse. You can do this once every month. also, whenever you are taking care of the baby try to help the other person out so that the togetherness factor is underlined perpetually.

3. Seek outside help: outside help can be in the form of helpful grandparents, teenagers who can babysit your child for a while, househelp – if you can afford it. it helps to get a little burden off your back once in a while.

4. Relax and do what you love: Every once in a while enlist help of your spouse to take your child out of your hair for a while, so that you can do what you like to do most in your spare time. it can be a visit to the spa, or a match of baseball, or reading. Doesn’t matter what you do, all that matters is that the activity should be one which gives you joy and relaxation.

They say you can’t take it with you when you die, but that’s not necessarily true for the wealthiest Americans — like Donald Trump.

He announced this week he is considering building a 1.5-acre cemetery next to his high-end golf course in Bedminster, where members pay a lifetime fee of as much as $300,000. If they want to stay beyond that, they most likely will pay a membership fee that includes burial.

It may be among the pricier final resting places, but if it gets state and local approval, it’d be a bargain compared with some of the country’s other swank cemeteries.

Putting one’s name on the most permanent of marquees can reach several million dollars at the most exclusive cemeteries — a far cry from the median $6,560 for a funeral in 2009, the most recent yearly figure from the National Funeral Directors Association.

At Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass., a National Historic Landmark renowned for its landscaping, the choicest piece of pond-front property costs upward of half a million dollars, said Sean O’Regan, vice president of cemetery services and operations.

“While you’re not purchasing real estate — you’re purchasing burial rights — it’s definitely location, location, location,” O’Regan said.

The Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, which was designated last year as a National Historic Landmark, is popular among the wealthy and famous. Burial arrangements can range from $600 for cremated remains to $3.5 million for an historic private mausoleum more than 100 years old, Woodlawn President John Toale said.

The Frank E. Campbell funeral home in New York’s Manhattan is the go-to place for celebrity funerals. in its 115 years of business, the home has arranged final rites for the titans of New York industry, famous sports figures, politicians and countless celebrities, Vice President Dominic Carella said.

“We fulfill any request, from private jets, to horse-drawn carriages,” Carella said, adding that no request surprises him — from arranging Dixie Land bands to a funeral procession with the rarest of collectible Ferraris. “We’ve had funerals from $20,000 or $30,000, to a couple hundred thousand dollars.”

Wealthy clients who wish to go quietly know the company’s fee includes keeping personal details from the media and providing undercover security guards to keep the paparazzi at bay, Carella said.

For a public funeral, as when tens of thousands of mourners attended viewings in Miami and New York for Latin music legend Celia Cruz, the company can organize the crowds, control the information flow, and take care of special requests from the family.

And as in life, those accustomed to keeping commoners at arm’s length can do so in death.

“I have families that come in to me and say, `I want a family plot, but I don’t want anyone next to me,’ so they’ll buy the six plots around them,” Carella said.

He recently sold 12 grave plots to a man in East Hampton, N.Y., who wished to be buried in the center of the property and surrounded by landscaping.

Large family plots and mausoleums have gone the way of many a celebrity marriage. while wealthy and famous figures of the past customarily would be surrounded in death by family members, a modern-day mogul may be torn over which relatives or ex-relatives will share the burial plot.

“It’s the changing dynamics of the family. Going back 20 years, if someone came in and said they had five children, they’d buy a grave for 15,” Carella said.

Campbell used to build 12 to 15 mausoleums a year but now erects only one or two.

“People are moving. there are mixed marriages, interfaith couples. the number of people buried together is fewer,” Carella said. “A lot has to do with the changing dynamics of what’s going on in society.”

Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y., is another East Coast “destination” resting place. Carella recently arranged a funeral there. He said the plot cost $450,000 and the mausoleum nearly $1 million.

Forest Lawn, which has cemeteries in and around Los Angeles, is one of the most well-known burial spots for Hollywood celebrities. Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson are buried there.

Spokesman Ben Sussman said prices start as low as $2,000. He declined to say how much the “distinguished properties” retail for. the spots include a private garden and sarcophagus or statuary.

But lavish burials or A-list cemeteries aren’t the only way to go out with a bang.

For about $4,000, California-based Angels Flight will custom-design 210 fireworks containing the deceased’s ashes, which can be fired off in a beach-front display, set to music. for an extra $1,000, the company will take a funeral party out on a yacht for an ocean fireworks display. And for those with a large enough piece of property, Angels Flight can stage the display in their private yard.

With cremation on the rise, some companies will custom-design an urn or transform ashes into a diamond ring, incorporate them into an oil painting or bury them in an eco-friendly underwater reef.

And for stars of the small screen, like Trump, there’s a company that makes video tombstones that play a montage of photographs set to music.

Leslie Carter, the sister of singers Nick and Aaron Carter, died Tuesday in new York state. she was 25.

“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter,” the family told Fox411 in a statement. “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter.  We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”

The cause of her death has not been revealed and no additional details have been released.

Like the rest of her family, Leslie was also involved in music. she signed a deal with DreamWorks Records back in 1999, but never released an album, according to the new York Daily News.

She released the single “Like Wow!” in 2001, which appeared on the soundtrack for the film “Shrek.”

Leslie also appeared on the E! reality show, “House of Carters.”

She and husband Mike had a daughter, Alyssa Jane, who was born in April of 2011.

Samsung also made news after a German court upheld a ban on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. meanwhile, the European Commission opened a formal investigation into whether Samsung has used its patents to “distort competition” in the European mobile market.
