Are There Good Reasons Why You Should Use A Natural Moisturizer?

There is one fast-growing segment of the anti aging skin care market and that is natural skin care products. This includes natural moisturizers and there are strong reasons for this movement away from mainstream skin care products. Natural skin care products are both safer and more effective than so many of the well known brands. Lets examine why you should consider a natural moisturizer.

Mainstream moisturizers, in common with so many other skin care and anti aging products, contain a wide range of chemical and petrochemical ingredients in many cases. A good example of this is mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a petrochemical that comes from the distillation of crude oil. It is found in many hundreds of moisturizers. If you examine the cosmetic safety database you’ll find that mineral oil has been linked to a range of health concerns including bioaccumulation, allergies and immunotoxicity, cancer and skin irritation to name a few. It is found in so many products because it is very cheap.

Mineral oil has no moisturizing properties. It is used to coat the skin with a film of oil with the expectation that this will prevent moisture loss. Whilst this is effective it means that the user risks all the health concerns previously mentioned and also increases the risk of acne.

There is a wide range of naturally occurring ingredients which are extremely effective as natural skin moisturizers. Ingredients such as olive oil, shea butter and macadamia nut oil as well as many others are all known to be excellent natural moisturizers. However they are rarely used in mainstream anti aging skin care products because they are much more expensive than the chemical alternatives.

What I have previously outlined is gradually becoming much more well known and this is why there is a growing and powerful movement away from chemical and petrochemical laden skin care products towards more natural alternatives which use safer and more effective natural ingredients.

There are some consumers who look to find these natural ingredients in their raw state. Some can be found and some cannot. And some people mix up their own moisturizer using these natural ingredients to produce a home-made body moisturizer or facial moisturizer, however this can be messy and difficult.

However there are dedicated companies which recognize the problem with chemical ingredients in skin care products and which seek to take advantage of this by producing natural skin care products, including natural moisturizers, which utilise these ingredients to produce high-quality safe anti aging products.

Obviously if these natural ingredients are so expensive the products in which they are used must also be extremely expensive. Correct? No in fact that’s not the case. The reason is that these companies, well one in particular, chooses not to advertise on television and as the cost of television advertising is about the major component of the price of most anti aging products, by refusing to advertise this company is able to market it’s natural skin care range at highly competitive prices. And it backs up its products with a money back guarantee.

There are, as you can see, very powerful reasons for this movement away from chemical laden mainstream skin care products and towards better natural skin care products. The movement is towards more natural, safer and more effective products and away from the big brand names.

However because the companies that make these products are small niche companies, and because they do not advertise, it is quite common that consumers are unaware that these products exist. However when they do discover these ranges of natural skin care products, and when they try the products and discover their effectiveness, they are routinely surprised and usually become a customer for life.

So if you’re looking for an all natural moisturizer the good news is that there are excellent natural skin moisturizers available. To find out where to locate these products visit my website.
